The Talent Identification Program (T.I.P.)
The top fifteen finishers at any Eastern Ontario elementary school X-Country meet or the top 8 athletes in an Eastern Ontario elementary school Track and Field event can earn a scholarship to one of our Youth or Foundation Programs. Meet results or a T.I.P card are sufficient proof of eligibility for this scholarship.
The Talent Identification Program (T.I.P.) was designed to offer to promising young athletes the opportunity to explore track and field through our Youth Program or our Foundation Program. These Scholarships are handed out at elementary school X-Country meets in the Fall and at Track and Field meets in the Spring time. Over the past 8 years, hundreds of athletes have taken advantage of this opportunity.
Talent Identification Scholarship winners are eligible to take part in our Youth programs. Athletes are entitled to 2 free weeks in one of these programs. They can attend once or twice a week over the two week period.
If athletes wish to continue in either Program the regular price will be prorated to reflect the 2 free weeks in the program.
Athletes who have benefited from a previous TIP scholarship or an EOESXC Championships scholarship are not eligible for a T.I.P. scholarship.
Athletes who have previously been in an Ottawa Lions Track and Field Youth or Foundation programs can benefit from the scholarships, but must register for a complete session and pay for the session at the lower registration fees.
Talent Identification Scholarships cannot be applied to Summer Camps.
