How to join our Board of Directors

The election of Board members happens at our Annual Members’ Meeting, which takes place each year on the first Monday in February.

Each year, a Nominations working group will be struck to oversee the annual nominations process and ultimately present a slate of candidates to members at the Annual Members’ Meeting. As part of this initiative,

  • Each September, the working group will conduct a Board skills assessment and will inquire with Board members who have expiring terms whether they plan to seek re-election to the Board. This will ensure that our Board maintains diversity and specialized skills and experience.
  • At the Board’s October meeting, this information will be used to propose to the Board areas of focus for seeking new Board members.
  • Between October and December, the Nominations working group will solicit and assess applications to join the Board of Directors.
  • The Nominations working group will present a slate of Board candidates for election at the Annual Members’ Meeting.
