- A passion for the Ottawa Lions’ mission, vision and values
- Knowledge of and experience with the world of sports or not-for-profit governance
- A desire to give back to the Ottawa Lions
What Board positions are currently available?
The Ottawa Lions’ Board of Directors is seeking
- Directors-at-Large
- Athletes’ representative
What is involved being a member of the Board of Directors?
- Influence and develop policy related to the operations of the Ottawa Lions
- Participate and coordinate fundraising initiatives
- Develop marketing strategies
- Build community relationships
- Provide budget oversight
- Take part in strategic planning
What is expected:
- Attend at least one (1) Board of Directors meeting per month (currently being held virtually on Zoom) and one (1) Sub-Committee meeting per month (currently being held on Zoom)
- Be responsive to emails and Club-related correspondence
- Come to meetings prepared and ready to participate in discussions
